I am continuing to work on my pork recipes as we have a half years worth of pork meat in our freezer. With my in-laws in town and an infant; I decided to work on a slow cooker recipe for convenience. This was my first time cooking a pork roast and it came out delicious. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 (3 pound) Pork Roast- (I used a Boston Butt Roast)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
Directions
- Place pork roast in slow cooker fat side up
- In a small bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients; pour over roast
- Cook for 6-8 hours on high setting
- Remove roast and transfer to a baking dish
- Broil in over for 5 mins to crisp top (keep your on it)
- Strain and ladle balsamic sauce on top of roast before serving
